More and more intelligence officers who have retired in the recent times are joining BJP. One wonders if this is an indicator of those in the know of our security realizing the threat that the country is in… and where the solution lies. All of these are aligned with Modi. Now Sanjeev Tripathi joins BJP as well. He is an ex-RAW Chief.
Former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) chief of India, Sanjeev Tripathi on Tuesday joined the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in the country, following the footsteps of several retired bureaucrats and diplomats finding a career in politics.
Tripathi, a 1972-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, is the latest to join the saffron party in the recent past after former Home Secretary of India R.K. Singh, former Petroleum Secretary R S Pandey and India’s former permanent representative at the United Nations, Hardeep Singh Puri.
Not just RK Singh but even folks like General VK Singh and Kiran Bedi – prominent in the Armed Forces and Policing organization – have aligned with BJP. Given where the situation in Pakistan and in the neighborhood, security is a BIG issue right now.
What is interesting is while those who have been at the helm in the Security establishment and served with distinction in recent times are joining BJP, the Naxalites and the anti-Nationals who have consistently talked and promoted actions that undermine India’s national integrity are joining Aam Aadmi Party.
Is AAP being used as a vehicle for India’s destabilization under the garb of “Anti-Corruption” party?
Looking at these questions may give an insight into why those to whom India’s security are joining BJP in the midst of utmost turmoil in Pakistan, given their fight with Taliban is at its peak as Taliban works to bring that nation under its power and influence!
Corruption is a BIG issue. But its centrality stems from how it impacts India’s integrity in a big way. And the overall Security Paradigm is far bigger and more critical than just Corruption of the babus.
The difference is clear on what you value and how that can be achieved.
