Anna Keeps Political Forces at Bay

The anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare criticized the political forces on Thursday for their act to defame the nation-wide agitation. He also felt that the political forces are afraid of demanded Jan lokpal Bill, which got a chance to expose them all for the corruption.

He spoke with few journalists at his hometown Ralegan Siddhi which is 250KM away from Mumbai. He said There are political forces that are facing corruption and criminal charges. So, they are afraid of the enactment of the anti-corruption bill. They are trying to create confusion in the minds of the common man by defaming the nation-wide campaign which has gathered such tremendous support. He also added There are political parties and politicians who are hoarding black money and using it for elections. People are bribed with this money for winning elections and so, the image of the voters is also being tarnished.

Mr. Hazare felt that the current situation is finding it tough for a non-corrupt leader to contest in the elections as it will be in vain without the influence and money. In this context, he is asking as Is it possible for a non-corrupt person with a good moral background to win elections without using black money? He had given further clarification in this aspect as I have never said that all the political leaders in the country are corrupt. There are few exceptions, and these exceptions should also raise voices against the rampant corruption. However, if they keep mum, they are actually silently supporting corruption and are therefore of no use to the nation.

Earlier, Hazare faced huge criticism through praising Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar for their efforts as chief minister in their respective states. When raised about this issue, Hazare said I had only praised their development issues. Ive always condemned every communal riot in the country.
