Rahul Gandhi is going to visit Punjab Next Week

All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will visit Punjab next week for three-days to strengthen the Congress party's base particularly among the youth.This was announced here on tuesday evening by All India Youth Congress general secretary Sheikh Mastan Wali,who is also incharge of Congress' youth affairs in Punjab.

During his planned visit of three days,All India Youth Congress president Ashok Tanwar today said during his visit Mr Gandhi will visit almost all districts of Punjab and will address a youth rally at Bhatinda on September 23 apart from a Scheduled Castes (SC) convention and a girls' convention at Jalandhar and Gurdaspur respectively.

Mr. Tanwar said that apart from political vendetta with Capt. Amarinder Singh,who has expelled from State Assembly, Mr. Gandhi would also rake up the issue of atrocities on hundreds of Congress workers by the ruling alliance.

Sheikh Mastan Wali ,who was camping in the state to supervise on-going process of membership drive of the Youth Congress, said about five lakh youth will be enrolled in the state under the drive.He claimed that election process of office bearers of he district units of youth Congress will be completed by the November-end.
