Blame game and stock taking on at BJP
Vasundhara Raje
As the BJP had a bad result in Rajasthan and Delhi, it seems that a blame game has started within BJP now. At the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting on Monday, Veteran party leader Murli Manohar Joshi criticised the campaign and the lack of coordination .
Some think that it is an attack from Joshi on the PM candidate, LK Advani.
Also, meanwhile Vasundhara Raje is seen losing her grip on Rajasthan BJP as more dissident voices come up. Although she was projected as the CM candidate, but it does not seem likely that she will be the Opposition leader from BJP's side. Rajasthan BJP secretary Prakash Chandra had a meeting with other leaders like Ghanshyam Tiwari and Narpat Singh Rajvi to make the selection of the Opposition Leader.
It is also believed that the reason for BJP's success in MP is due to the new faces in that state within the BJP set up. As many as 61 sitting MLAs did not get a ticket this time (a third of the total fielded). This helped ward off the anti-incumbency vote since those faces were weeded out without much rebellion.
