Raman Singh to take oath as Chhgarh CM for second term

Raman Singh,winner of the Bhartiya Janta Party in Chattishgarh assembly polls, would take the oath as Chief Minister for the second term on Friday and continue with his extended ministry.

Singh's swearing in will take place at the police parade ground in Raipur on the morning of December 12.

The party's newly elected MLAs would meet here today morning in the presence of central observers and election in-charge Ravishanker Prasad and party in-charge Dharemendra Pradhan,the BJP sources said.

Singh is all set to be elected as the leader of BJP legislature party here today paving the way for his heading the government for the second successive term.

The 56-year-old ayurvedic doctor-turned politician, Raman singh became the Chief Minister first time of the mineral-rich state state on December 7, 2003 after resigning as the Union minister of state for Commerce.

In neighbouring Madhya Pradesh too, Shivraj Singh Chouhan would be sworn in as the chief minister on Friday afternoon but no other ministers would take oath, they said.
