It seems Congress is not lagging far behind Advani in doing election Tamashas.

First it reserved the song Jai Ho obviously for use in election propaganda. And now it is in the process of throwing movie Slumdog Millionaire's child artists Azhar and Rubina into the election ring.

Poor children! No doubt they will earn some money from it but what will be the impact on their psyches if they get overused in the process which they definitely will be? After all lower down they will be in the hands of the not-so-sophisticated election compaign handlers.  read more »

Mohd. Azharuddin, arguably one of the most beautiful batsman India has ever produced has joined politics and has started with Congress.. as more and more parties woo cricket and movie stars.

He says that he was moved by the plight of the poor which made him join the politics. It happened when he met M. Veerappa Moily and expressed his interest to join politics. He formally joined on Feb. 19.  read more »

Dr. Singh has said that it is too early to talk about a Congress PM candidate, as there are several candidates who are equally or better qualified than him. This may be a way to pave way for the young Rahul Gandhi to come on board.
